After a defensive mix-up in ФК Рыбинск's zone, Vadim Basmannikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jesper Nordström came out of the goal and Vadim Basmannikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ФК Рыбинск's Dmitriy Abalakin pulled a muscle in his leg after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Evgeniy Fomichev's late challenge caught a ФК Рыбинск's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evgeniy Fomichev helped the player get up and apologised. ФК Рыбинск made a substitution. Egor Nazarov replaced Dmitriy Abalakin. After a rather tough play, ФК Рыбинск's Vitaliy Buinosov got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Igor Akinfeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oleg Semenov in the 27th minute of play. Filimon Trofimov might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Akinfeev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filimon Trofimov ran back to his position shaking his head. If Filimon Trofimov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oleg Semenov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Igor Akinfeev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Voskresensk FC's Ruslan Krylov got a free kick in the 35th minute. Danila Kolobov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Jesper Nordström made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filimon Trofimov made a kick off. Filimon Trofimov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Voskresensk FC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Voskresensk FC's zone, Filimon Trofimov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Akinfeev came out of the goal and Filimon Trofimov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Voskresensk FC's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filimon Trofimov. Igor Akinfeev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filimon Trofimov in the 73rd minute. Evgeniy Fomichev hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Voskresensk FC defense, Oleg Semenov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Akinfeev. The Voskresensk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Akinfeev should have stopped the shot. Vitaliy Buinosov charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitaliy Buinosov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes ФК Рыбинск got a freekick which was hit by Vitaliy Buinosov. Jesper Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantin Lakhov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Akinfeev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oleg Semenov in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94thth minute of the game Konstantin Lakhov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ФК Рыбинск's Jesper Nordström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ФК Рыбинск's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
