In the 8th minute, Roman Serdyuk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roman Serdyuk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Brattsov having to make a save. Igor Brattsov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiy Dorenskiy in the 10th minute of the match. Semen Rodionov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oriche Vega came out and tried to block the shot, but Semen Rodionov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Semen Rodionov took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Oriche Vega to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Apatit Kirovsk FC defense, Roman Serdyuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Brattsov. The Apatit Kirovsk FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Brattsov should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, Krasnodar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiy Dorenskiy to maneuver through the defense. Oriche Vega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Mikhailov, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute of the match, Semen Rodionov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oriche Vega was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leonid Malafeev hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Demyanenko in the 37th minute of play forced Apatit Kirovsk FC's goalkeeper Igor Brattsov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Brattsov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Serdyuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Apatit Kirovsk FC's Maksim Osipov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Maksim Osipov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Apatit Kirovsk FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Maksim Osipov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Apatit Kirovsk FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Krasnodar FC a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leonid Malafeev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Apatit Kirovsk FC's Igor Brattsov. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Igor Brattsov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiy Dorenskiy in the 51st minute of the match. Igor Brattsov made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Andrey Aganin sent off a good shot on target. Apatit Kirovsk FC's Igor Brattsov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonid Malafeev in the 56th minute of play. Roman Serdyuk scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Brattsov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Apatit Kirovsk FC's Witold Orling got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Gennadiy Demyanenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roman Serdyuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Brattsov having to interfere. Oriche Vega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semen Rodionov in the 72nd minute of the match. Apatit Kirovsk FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gennadiy Demyanenko 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. 2-5 became the score in the 80th minute when Gennadiy Demyanenko elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Igor Brattsov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gennadiy Demyanenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Oriche Vega came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Apatit Kirovsk FC's Semen Rodionov. But to his dismay, Semen Rodionov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. When Krasnodar FC's Gennadiy Demyanenko in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Apatit Kirovsk FC's goalie prevented a goal. Apatit Kirovsk FC's Igor Brattsov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Apatit Kirovsk FC from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute, Feliks Maziarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Roman Serdyuk recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Brattsov. Roman Serdyuk showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-6. The Apatit Kirovsk FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Krasnodar FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
