Bordeiu CS's Mugurel Gănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augustin Jurca charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustin Jurca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Bordeiu CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Jurca to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Eduard Lițiu in the 21st minute really tested Laurențiu Răduț's skills. Bordeiu CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Antohi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurențiu Răduț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
