After a rather tough play, Cermei's Mugurel Guriță got a free kick in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Cermei's Codruț Chimeț sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduard Zota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luca Giurcă kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Olimpiu Arieșan made in the 47th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cermei's Luca Giurcă. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eric Goga to make the kick off.
