Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eric Goga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ghirolt's Irinel Dogaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Goga in the 4th minute of play. Codruț Chimeț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ghirolt's zone, Eric Goga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irinel Dogaru came out of the goal and Eric Goga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codruț Chimeț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Irinel Dogaru made a huge save. Radu Tirulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augustin Bungeanu in the 12th minute of play. Cermei's Radu Tirulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Stanomir in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Eric Goga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Dogaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisc Ghionescu charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Ghionescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Francisc Ghionescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Codruț Chimeț came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cermei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codruț Chimeț couldn't finish the play. With his leg Irinel Dogaru managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Cermei's Codruț Chimeț fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Eric Goga took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Irinel Dogaru to make any attempt to save it. In the 31st minute, Rareș Aliuta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ghirolt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Cermei's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Stanomir came free, but Radu Tirulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irinel Dogaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Goga, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codruț Chimeț in the 37th minute of play forced Ghirolt's goalkeeper Irinel Dogaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eric Goga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ghirolt's Ioan Trandafir got a free kick in the 41st minute. Eric Goga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Irinel Dogaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niculae Tăcutu struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Irinel Dogaru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cermei. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Aurel Stanomir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Radu Tirulescu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Irinel Dogaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Goga, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Mugurel Guriță took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Irinel Dogaru. Ghirolt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Codruț Chimeț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Cermei's Eric Goga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irinel Dogaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Codruț Chimeț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cermei's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Chimeț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Dogaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Dogaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Goga's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Aurel Stanomir kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Codruț Chimeț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Cermei's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Ghionescu came free, but Radu Tirulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Goga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ghirolt getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Aurel Stanomir hit a great ball. Eric Goga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ghirolt's Francisc Ghionescu got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Francisc Ghionescu off the ground. After 93 minutes, Lucian Aplugăriței mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cermei and the Ghirolt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Codruț Chimeț managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cermei's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Chimeț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Dogaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
