Codruț Chimeț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Niculae Tăcutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Norman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Goga in the 13th minute of the match. Codruț Chimeț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Isaac Norman made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Eric Goga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaac Norman was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. A collision led to Cermei getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luca Giurcă hit a great ball. Radu Tirulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Gabor in the 34th minute of the match. Lucian Aplugăriței kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Radu Tirulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Vergulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codruț Chimeț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Isaac Norman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marian Gabor to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucian Aplugăriței kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Goga in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaac Norman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 60 minutes into the game, Ştefan Târlea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Babasesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cermei the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Babasesti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cermei:s goal. If Codruț Chimeț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eric Goga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 65 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Isaac Norman was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Isaac Norman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Chimeț, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Codruț Chimeț fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Norman having to interfere. A collision led to Babasesti getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Claudiu Vergulescu hit a great ball. Isaac Norman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Goga in the 77th minute of the match. Eric Goga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Isaac Norman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Babasesti's zone, Costel Bîlbă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Norman came out of the goal and Costel Bîlbă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Goga in the 86th minute of play forced Babasesti's goalkeeper Isaac Norman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iulian Ioanițiu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaac Norman. Babasesti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Eugen Slicaru notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cermei's Radu Tirulescu. Radu Tirulescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eric Goga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
