Babasesti's Isaac Norman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Dăscălescu in the 52nd minute of play. FC SRO Baia Mare's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Babasesti the free kick. After 90 played minutes FC SRO Baia Mare got a freekick which was hit by Denis Boltașu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Gabor in the 91st minute of play forced FC SRO Baia Mare's goalkeeper Güven Dilsafa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when FC SRO Baia Mare's Sever Dăscălescu in the 95th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Isaac Norman was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Babasesti through an amazing save. Güven Dilsafa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Gabor in the 99th minute of play. The FC SRO Baia Mare players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
