MARAPICI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Torouţ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes in the game, Alin Biriș fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reynaldo Guedes having to interfere. If Doru Bădiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petrică Măguran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reynaldo Guedes. MARAPICI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dorin Apolzan hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Doru Bădiță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Codruț Istrăteanu fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MARAPICI's protests and gave Codruț Istrăteanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54thth minute of the game Lucian Ghelmegean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARAPICI's Reynaldo Guedes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doru Bădiță blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gelu Găină having to make a save. In the 58th minute, Eulalio Silvino made a precise shot to the right of Gelu Găină. Merei SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in MARAPICI's zone, Alin Biriș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Guedes came out of the goal and Alin Biriș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alin Biriș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Reynaldo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Bădiță in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gelu Găină, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 69 minutes into the match, Doru Bădiță dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gelu Găină, 0-4. The supporters of Merei SC booed when MARAPICI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doru Bădiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Doru Bădiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MARAPICI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
