If Sandu Blajovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Marcu Minda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iordache Micu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 29 minutes of play, Crainiceni's Albert Dărăscu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iordache Micu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Vali Prislop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandu Blajovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vali Florea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Brezeanu in the 37th minute of the match. Urtica CSM's Silviu Brezeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Dărăscu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iordache Micu having to make a save. Iordache Micu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Hurezeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vali Florea had in the 62ndth minute some difficulties stopping Sandu Blajovan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Urtica CSM's zone, Albert Dărăscu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Micu came out of the goal and Albert Dărăscu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Crainiceni got a freekick which was hit by Maxim Dulfu. Sandu Blajovan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Vali Prislop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 75th minute, Sandu Blajovan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vali Florea. The goal made the score 1-1. Silviu Brezeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vali Florea having to interfere. Emilian Bălace kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match.
