The referee ignored Red Devils's protests and gave Octav Blaga a yellow card for diving instead. After 4 played minutes Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Octav Blaga. Domenico Ciccarelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Vali Florea made a huge save. Gilberto Ofelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Minda in the 11th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Domenico Ciccarelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Ciccarelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vali Florea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Dobrescu in the 16th minute of play. Red Devils's Gilberto Ofelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Stoicea in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Dobrescu in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vali Florea saved Crainiceni from getting behind. Gică Hurezeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Ofelio having to interfere. Gilberto Ofelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Hurezeanu in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Gică Hurezeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Red Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Octavian Şunda was slow to take the kick. During this time Crainiceni's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Crainiceni's Doru Jecu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 40th minute, Nicodim Dobrescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With splendid footwork Nicodim Dobrescu arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nicodim Dobrescu made the kick off in the second half. Crainiceni's Vali Florea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Blaga in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Crainiceni's zone, Domenico Ciccarelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vali Florea came out of the goal and Domenico Ciccarelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domenico Ciccarelli struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Vali Florea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Devils. Albert Dărăscu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Crainiceni booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Dragalina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domenico Ciccarelli scored 2-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vali Florea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Gologan in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vali Florea saved Crainiceni from getting behind. After having played for 72 minutes, Nicodim Dobrescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Dobrescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Gologan in the 76th minute of play forced Crainiceni's goalkeeper Vali Florea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79thth minute of the game Domenico Ciccarelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crainiceni's Vali Florea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domenico Ciccarelli might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vali Florea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domenico Ciccarelli ran back to his position shaking his head. Red Devils's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gică Hurezeanu 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Octavian Şunda kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Crainiceni's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Ciccarelli came free, but Vali Florea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vali Florea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Corcoveanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Red Devils walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
