After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sorin Nedelciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ehed CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Nedelciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Baștină breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sever Stelaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Robert Baștină made a huge save. With a little luck, Batrinu AFC's Robert Baștină got control of the ball when Sever Stelaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Batrinu AFC's Robert Baștină proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Batrinu AFC from getting a goal against them. Robert Baștină made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Stelaru in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Ehed CSS booed when Batrinu AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Andriescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robert Baștină showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Nedelciu in the 32nd minute of the match. Robert Baștină made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Receanu in the 33rd minute. Vasile Mustățea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Dragușin, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Paul Dragușin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vasile Mustățea having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valentin Toacsen to make the kick off. Robert Baștină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Nedelciu in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Romeo Chinezu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batrinu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Chinezu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasile Mustățea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 played minutes Batrinu AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Andriescu. When Sorin Nedelciu came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ehed CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Nedelciu couldn't finish the play. Marcel Receanu took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robert Baștină. Robert Baștină dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 80 minutes into the match, Batrinu AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Receanu came free, but Robert Baștină reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Baștină showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Barboni in the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Sorin Nedelciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Baștină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Sandu Bostan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Baștină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Nedelciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ehed CSS had played much better football throughout.
