Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dadá Gaspar took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristi Zmărăndescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doru Oncu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Dataseni UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Bobeanu to maneuver through the defense. When Cazimir Gârleanu came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Peticei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cazimir Gârleanu couldn't finish the play. If Stelian Maghiran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Dadá Gaspar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gunnar Fredriksson, passed just outside the right post. Traian Coșereanu charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Coșereanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Dataseni UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Coșereanu to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes Dataseni UFC got a freekick which was hit by Traian Coșereanu. 25 minutes into the match, Doru Oncu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Peticei's Cristi Zmărăndescu. Cristi Zmărăndescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stelian Maghiran in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Fredriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristi Zmărăndescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Unchiaşu in the 38th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Laurențiu Unchiaşu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Zmărăndescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Dataseni UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Bobeanu to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurențiu Unchiaşu to make the kick off. With a little luck, Peticei's Cristi Zmărăndescu got control of the ball when Doru Oncu tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Valentin Coman fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dataseni UFC's protests and gave Valentin Coman a yellow card for diving instead. Grigore Găvănescu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peticei! Peticei's Cristi Zmărăndescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Unchiaşu in the 64th minute of play. Cristi Zmărăndescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doru Oncu went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Iacob Ursulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laurențiu Unchiaşu during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peticei booed when Dataseni UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Unchiaşu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dataseni UFC's Gunnar Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Gaspar in the 88th minute of play. Stelian Maghiran hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Doru Oncu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peticei's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grigore Găvănescu in the 100th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peticei lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
