Spectators: 6705 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1705, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aurelian Pora started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Spiridoni's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Şerbănescu came free, but Silviu Gruescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vintilă Şerbănescu scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silviu Gruescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Spiridoni booed when LIVERPOOL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Steriopol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Chiru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Pora, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 22 played minutes Aurelian Pora rounded LIVERPOOL FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. The supporters of LIVERPOOL FC booed when Spiridoni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernest Ghionaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Maxim Şuplăcan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Aurelian Pora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Aurelian Pora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iulian Vanghelie might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Chiru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Vanghelie ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavius Steriopol kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Spiridoni's Ernest Ghionaru tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vintilă Şerbănescu was the one to do the kick off. When Spiridoni's Aurelian Pora in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LIVERPOOL FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Chiru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Baran's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Daniel Baran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Horia Ignat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Spiridoni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Vanghelie to maneuver through the defense. Aurelian Pora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Chiru having to interfere. Daniel Baran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alex Chiru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Baran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Chiru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelian Pora in the 72nd minute of the match. Daniel Baran struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Alex Chiru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spiridoni. In the 78th minute Vintilă Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Gruescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Ignat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Spiridoni got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Vanghelie. In the 83rd minute of the match, Vintilă Şerbănescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silviu Gruescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Baran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Chiru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelian Pora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horia Ignat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Silviu Gruescu made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Spiridoni's Leontin Tomescu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Vintilă Şerbănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Spiridoni's zone, Vintilă Şerbănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Gruescu came out of the goal and Vintilă Şerbănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Spiridoni fans cheered their team off the field, for while LIVERPOOL FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
