Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Aurelian Pora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Aurelianu having to interfere. Aron Aurelianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Baran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorin Cismarescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicodim Chihaia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorin Cismarescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silviu Gruescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorin Cismarescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 24th minute of the match, Dorin Cismarescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silviu Gruescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute Dorin Cismarescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Gruescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Călin Vătafu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Silviu Gruescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Dorin Cismarescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Daniel Baran came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Spiridoni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Baran couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelian Pora to make the kick off. If Dorin Cismarescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silviu Gruescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Cismarescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Capalnas's Nicodim Chihaia got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Dorin Cismarescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Spiridoni's Silviu Gruescu. Silviu Gruescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silviu Gruescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Chihaia in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorin Cismarescu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silviu Gruescu saved Spiridoni from getting behind. After having played for 84 minutes, Dorin Cismarescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capalnas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorin Cismarescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Capalnas's Dorin Cismarescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silviu Gruescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eugen Acalinei's late challenge caught a Spiridoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugen Acalinei helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Capalnas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Acalinei to maneuver through the defense. Capalnas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
