A hard shot by Damian Alecu from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Aristide Ghiță's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Robert Simuţ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Aristide Ghiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nechifor Măliță charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nechifor Măliță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Nechifor Măliță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liviu Luțu in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Muja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augustin Orghidan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Şuteu during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Soimeni CS's Romeo Şuteu got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Luțu to make the kick off. If Ionel Nestor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Soimeni CS's Ionel Nestor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petre Muja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valeriu Urduban kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Ionel Nestor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soimeni CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Nestor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augustin Orghidan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Ghiță having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Soimeni CS's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Orghidan came free, but Aristide Ghiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soimeni CS's Aristide Ghiță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Simuţ in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Soimeni CS getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Nechifor Măliță hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Soimeni CS defense, Augustin Orghidan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristide Ghiță. The Soimeni CS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristide Ghiță should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Soimeni CS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC DjM.
