Robert Simuţ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Dumitru Frumuzache made a huge save. Dumitru Frumuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Orghidan in the 32nd minute of the match. Petre Muja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Medeleanu in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Cheveres AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Andrei Molodețiu hit a great ball. Dumitru Frumuzache made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when George Perșa sent off a good shot on target. Augustin Orghidan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Medeleanu to make the kick off. FC DjM were furious when Aron Siadbei was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 54th minute, one of FC DjM:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC DjM. Dumitru Frumuzache showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Simuţ, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Robert Simuţ scored 3-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dumitru Frumuzache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC DjM's Petre Muja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Medeleanu in the 77th minute of play. In the 94th minute, George Perșa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Perșa might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dumitru Frumuzache. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Perșa ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of FC DjM booed when Cheveres AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Mitescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codrin Udubaşa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Frumuzache having to interfere.
