Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valer Moise took the kick off in the first half of the match. Niculae Ieremia kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Leontin Manole made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Uncheşu in the 5th minute of play. Minerul Baia Mare FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Valer Moise scored to the left of an out of position Iustinian Buhăescu, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Minerul Baia Mare FC's zone, Valer Moise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iustinian Buhăescu came out of the goal and Valer Moise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudiu Corbu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Manuel Dascălu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leontin Manole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Valer Moise tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iustinian Buhăescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marian Popete struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Iustinian Buhăescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sintana. In the 32nd minute Valer Moise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustinian Buhăescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Sintana's Marian Popete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iustinian Buhăescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Minerul Baia Mare FC's goalkeeper Iustinian Buhăescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Popete. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Manuel Dascălu made the kick off in the second half. Valer Moise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Buhăescu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baia Mare FC's George Jucu got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 57th match minute, Minerul Baia Mare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florin Burileanu to maneuver through the defense. Minerul Baia Mare FC's Emanuel Uncheşu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maxim Brumă in the 60 minute of the game. Daniel Prelipceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Leontin Manole made a huge save. A collision led to Sintana getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Marian Popete hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Dascălu in the 65th minute of play forced Sintana's goalkeeper Leontin Manole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Minerul Baia Mare FC booed when Sintana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Popete didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marian Popete came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Sintana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Popete couldn't finish the play. When Emanuel Uncheşu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minerul Baia Mare FC's protests and gave Emanuel Uncheşu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Minerul Baia Mare FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Emanuel Uncheşu hit a great ball. Iustinian Buhăescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Moise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudiu Corbu hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Minerul Baia Mare FC's Manuel Dascălu got a free kick in the 91st minute.
