Spectators: 7351 (Terracing: 5514, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) The supporters of Minerul Baia Mare FC booed when Desirati UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Domuță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Desirati UFC got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Răchită. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Răchită in the 17th minute of play forced Minerul Baia Mare FC's goalkeeper Iustinian Buhăescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioan Stoian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Minerul Baia Mare FC's Manuel Dascălu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dömötör Simon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustinian Buhăescu having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Desirati UFC got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Vulcan. Cezar Răchită hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Iustinian Buhăescu came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Desirati UFC's Cezar Răchită. But to his dismay, Cezar Răchită quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Răchită in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iustinian Buhăescu saved Minerul Baia Mare FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Vulturar in the 47th minute of play forced Minerul Baia Mare FC's goalkeeper Iustinian Buhăescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Minerul Baia Mare FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Desirati UFC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Manuel Dascălu made the kick off in the second half. If Teodor Vulcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolae Isopescu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The Desirati UFC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Desirati UFC's Cezar Răchită looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 64 minutes into the match, Dömötör Simon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iustinian Buhăescu, 0-3. Teodor Vulcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iustinian Buhăescu made a huge save. Iustinian Buhăescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristi Vulturar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Minerul Baia Mare FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Mălăncioiu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Uncheşu in the 90th minute of play forced Desirati UFC's goalkeeper Cristi Dancu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cristi Vulturar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desirati UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Vulturar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iustinian Buhăescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Desirati UFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
