The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes MONDIAL BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Vali Mușat. 4 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Levițchi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Grigore Cumpanașu. Ovidiu Levițchi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Grigore Cumpanașu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Levițchi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MONDIAL BUCURESTI's Grigore Cumpanașu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Levițchi in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Edgar Răduța managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Humosu CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Răduța was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Luca Mara made a precise shot to the right of Sabin Mușat. Humosu CSS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gelu Ciocâlteu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Mușat having to interfere. Sabin Mușat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Ciocâlteu in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Valentin Stanciu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Ovidiu Levițchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Cumpanașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luca Mara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, MONDIAL BUCURESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Levițchi came free, but Grigore Cumpanașu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Valentin Stanciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Mara in the 55th minute of play forced Humosu CSS's goalkeeper Sabin Mușat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gelu Ciocâlteu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Luca Mara put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sabin Mușat. In the 63rd minute of the match Grigore Gliga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabin Mușat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sabin Mușat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Mara, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Ovidiu Levițchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Edgar Răduța shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Cumpanașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gelu Ciocâlteu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Sabin Mușat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, MONDIAL BUCURESTI's Grigore Gliga got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Edgar Răduța came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Humosu CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Răduța couldn't finish the play. Despite being the better team, MONDIAL BUCURESTI failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
