To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Doru Pădureanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Otelul Galati fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 89 minutes into the match, Mutecs FC's goal looked a bit too open when Doru Pădureanu came free, but Sabin Cănănău reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Manciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Nicolae Crăiniceanu from long distance, 93 minutes into the match, got Ilie Angelescu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Doru Pădureanu came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the FC Otelul Galati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Pădureanu couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Otelul Galati had played much better football throughout.
