Florin Babeș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nechifor Crăciunaș in the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palermo AFC's Pavel Hogaș got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 17th minute Nechifor Crăciunaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Babeș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nechifor Crăciunaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Pavel Hogaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean-Paul Beuneker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Hârtopanu in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Liscoteanca booed when Palermo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Hogaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Sandu Lăzan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liscoteanca the free kick. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palermo AFC! 32 minutes into the game, Nechifor Crăciunaș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liscoteanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo AFC the free kick. Nechifor Crăciunaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Nae struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Jean-Paul Beuneker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo AFC. Gabriel Naes short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Jean-Paul Beuneker to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Ferdinand Zglimbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florin Babeș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Zglimbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liscoteanca's goalkeeper Jean-Paul Beuneker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florin Babeș came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Liscoteanca's Nechifor Crăciunaș. But to his dismay, Nechifor Crăciunaș quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nechifor Crăciunaș's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Florin Babeș skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 70 minutes into the game, when Sandu Lăzan put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Liscoteanca a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Octavian Săvulescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palermo AFC's Florin Babeș. 0-3. Pavel Hogaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Paul Beuneker having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Nae in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-Paul Beuneker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Doru Panaitoiu came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Palermo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Panaitoiu couldn't finish the play. Calistrat Buzgar hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Nechifor Crăciunaș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florin Babeș having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Liscoteanca's Calistrat Buzgar got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Gabriel Nae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean-Paul Beuneker. Liscoteanca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Nae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Liscoteanca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
