After having played for 6 minutes, Daniel Pavalescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rocar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Pavalescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Daniel Pavalescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pavel Leu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Şumălan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Nichifor Tudor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the match, Rocar's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Şumălan came free, but Pavel Leu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Nichifor Tudor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Leu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iurie Encioiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Daniel Pavalescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Pavalescu made a kick off. Daniel Pavalescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costică Cucu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Pavalescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Costică Cucu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pavalescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Leibesübungen Wolfsburg's Pavel Leu threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nichifor Tudor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 59th minute, Cornel Şumălan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pavel Leu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Tudor, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Cornel Şumălan took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavel Leu. Pavel Leu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornel Şumălan got free with Pavel Leu in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pavalescu in the 68th minute of play forced Leibesübungen Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Costică Cucu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornel Şumălan in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pavel Leu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cornel Şumălan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Pavel Leu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Leibesübungen Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Florean. Daniel Pavalescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Cucu having to interfere. Iurie Encioiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Pavalescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Costică Cucu having to make a save. Daniel Pavalescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pavalescu in the 93rd minute of play forced Leibesübungen Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Costică Cucu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Pavalescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costică Cucu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Chants of Leibesübungen Wolfsburg echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Rocar had held the ball for most of the match.
