Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ernest Vlaicu got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Dorel Goiceanu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mugurel Gheondea to make any attempt to save it. If Corneliu Armeanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bord's Traian Bulzan got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bord's goalkeeper Petruț Cazacu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petrică Posteucă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Gheondea having to interfere. If Ernest Vlaicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Mugurel Gheondea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Octav Cârju came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mugurel Gheondea could save by the left post. Edgar Maghiar kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, one of Iliesi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anton Stegaru walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 30th minute, Octav Cârju ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugurel Gheondea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Octav Cârju could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mugurel Gheondea made a huge save. Mugurel Gheondea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Posteucă, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A collision led to Iliesi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gabriel Ştefănucă hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bord's Anton Stegaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mugurel Gheondea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Iliesi's Mugurel Gheondea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Iliesi from getting a goal against them.

Mugurel Gheondea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Cârju in the 55th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Bord got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Goiceanu. Mugurel Gheondea came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Bord's Octav Cârju. But to his dismay, Octav Cârju quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 72nd minute Octav Cârju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Gheondea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugurel Gheondea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Posteucă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bord were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Iliesi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anton Stegaru took the corner. The corner ended in Anton Stegaru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Iliesi's Mugurel Gheondea did a great save. Mugurel Gheondea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Posteucă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Corneliu Armeanca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Cazacu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugurel Gheondea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Goiceanu in the 92nd minute of play. Octav Cârju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
