Radu Condrea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Niculae Dudea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valeriu Ghiurutan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute, Cristinel Burtescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The The STORM fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when The STORM's Mircea Roman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mircea Roman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes in the game, Radu Condrea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Niculae Dudea having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, The STORM's Valeriu Ghiurutan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilian Şuplăcan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Valeriu Ghiurutan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ghicani's Emilian Şuplăcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Roman in the 28th minute of play. Emilian Şuplăcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Ghiurutan in the 29th minute of the match. Radu Condrea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niculae Dudea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leontin Capătă in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Dudea saved The STORM from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Ghicani's Aurelian Jurăscu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 39 minutes into the match, The STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Jurăscu came free, but Niculae Dudea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Mircea Roman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Emilian Şuplăcan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emilian Şuplăcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircea Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ghicani players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The STORM were winning 1-2.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Ghiurutan in the 52nd minute of play forced Ghicani's goalkeeper Emilian Şuplăcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radu Condrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Niculae Dudea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leontin Capătă kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Aurelian Jurăscu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radu Condrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Niculae Dudea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelian Jurăscu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Dudea having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Sebastian Tarcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radu Condrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Tarcu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Radu Condrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Aurelian Jurăscu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghicani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelian Jurăscu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in The STORM's zone, Radu Condrea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niculae Dudea came out of the goal and Radu Condrea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Niculae Dudea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radu Condrea, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Radu Condrea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niculae Dudea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Radu Condrea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niculae Dudea having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelian Jurăscu in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Dudea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelian Jurăscu struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Niculae Dudea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghicani. The STORM were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Ghicani's much stronger midfield.
