The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Primitivo Gora came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the GLADIATORII fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Gora couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Aguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Emilian Şuplăcan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Primitivo Gora in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Şuplăcan saved Ghicani from getting behind. Emilian Şuplăcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Răuțu in the 10th minute of the match. Cristinel Burtescu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Radu Condrea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grant Hobbs was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Emilian Şuplăcan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Gora, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelian Jurăscu to strike the kick off in the second half. GLADIATORII's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Răuțu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Şuplăcan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Primitivo Gora did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Emilian Şuplăcan 91 minutes into the match. GLADIATORII were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
