Spectators: 7208 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1708, VIP seats: 0) Pietrisu's Ionică Iosifian started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Iulian Vasilian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meris CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Vasilian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Iulian Vasilian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the game, Iulian Vasilian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vintilă Ficsinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Călin Vlas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Tapalagă in the 13th minute of the match. Iulian Vasilian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vintilă Ficsinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Pietrisu's goalkeeper Vintilă Ficsinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Barboni. Horea Nae received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Vintilă Ficsinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iulian Vasilian in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vintilă Ficsinescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vintilă Ficsinescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panait Barboni in the 25th minute. Vintilă Ficsinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Ciutacu in the 26th minute of play. Panait Barboni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Vasilian got free with Vintilă Ficsinescu in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Pietrisu's zone, Iulian Vasilian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Ficsinescu came out of the goal and Iulian Vasilian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Laurențiu Negoescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meris CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ionică Iosifian kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Iulian Vasilian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Ficsinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iulian Vasilian's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Vintilă Ficsinescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Vasilian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vintilă Ficsinescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iulian Vasilian went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Panait Barboni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Cucu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Călin Vlas having to make a save. Iulian Vasilian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Vintilă Ficsinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iulian Vasilian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Ionică Iosifian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pietrisu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meris CF the free kick. Iulian Vasilian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vintilă Ficsinescu came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Meris CF's Iulian Vasilian. But to his dismay, Iulian Vasilian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 79 minutes into the match, Pietrisu's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Ciutacu came free, but Vintilă Ficsinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iulian Vasilian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Iulian Vasilian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meris CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Iulian Vasilian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vintilă Ficsinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 minutes of play, Meris CF's Laurențiu Negoescu made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vintilă Ficsinescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute Iulian Vasilian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Ficsinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If David Potopea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iulian Vasilian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Ficsinescu having to interfere. Iulian Vasilian might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vintilă Ficsinescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Vasilian ran back to his position shaking his head. Iulian Vasilian struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Vintilă Ficsinescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meris CF.
