Nicodim Cimpoieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Bulencea in the 14th minute of the match. Horia Bulencea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicodim Cimpoieru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Nicodim Cimpoieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chiper in the 23rd minute of play. Ramón Soares in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tudor Şoltuz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nicodim Cimpoieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Bulencea in the 31st minute of the match. When Cristi Axinia fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C Rapid Bucuresti's protests and gave Cristi Axinia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to F.C Rapid Bucuresti getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cristi Axinia hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, Scorbura FC's Cezar Uzuneanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicodim Cimpoieru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Scorbura FC reached it. Nicodim Cimpoieru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Bulencea, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Nicodim Cimpoieru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Pietreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristi Axinia made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Ramón Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Şoltuz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicodim Cimpoieru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horia Bulencea in the 53rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Scorbura FC's Horia Chiper slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nicodim Cimpoieru. That made the score 0-1 after 55 minutes of play. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Laurențiu Aldulea was substituted for Vlad Bocșa. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Sabin Rogoz was substituted for Octav Ceaușu. 79 minutes into the game, Sabin Rogoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scorbura FC the free kick. The supporters of Scorbura FC booed when F.C Rapid Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sabin Rogoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicodim Cimpoieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chiper in the 81st minute of play. In the 87th minute, Horia Bulencea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicodim Cimpoieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 90thth minute of the game Gică Deșliu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scorbura FC's Tudor Şoltuz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dinu Brezeanu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicodim Cimpoieru. Nicodim Cimpoieru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
