Niculae Militaru charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niculae Militaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Frekatei getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Niculae Militaru hit a great ball. Martin Pop succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 48th playminute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tiberiu Carp was the one to do the kick off. Leontin Chiose showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Buculeasa in the 54th minute of the match. After 61 played minutes, Frekatei's Iurie Pivniceru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anton Povară came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Frekatei reached it. Martin Pop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Moromete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Zavoaia's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Moromete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leontin Chiose breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gigi Buculeasa fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zavoaia's protests and gave Gigi Buculeasa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zavoaia's Gigi Buculeasa got a free kick in the 100th minute. Zavoaia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
