Grigore Torouţ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Călin Diculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute, Anton Nijhof got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aurel Grecu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Grecu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurel Grecu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Fulham FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Aurel Grecu hit a great ball. A nice corner shot did that Marcel Tutunaru got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sabin Suluțiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Martin Isăceanu fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fulham FC's protests and gave Martin Isăceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th match minute, Fulham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Isăceanu to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petruț Ghiciușca was the one to do the kick off. Sabin Suluțiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Gârdan in the 53rd minute of play. After 55 played minutes, Racatau AC's Pavel Turcan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sabin Suluțiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racatau AC reached it. In the 57th minute Călin Diculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Suluțiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Filip Enceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fulham FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racatau AC the free kick. The supporters of Racatau AC booed when Fulham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Enceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Călin Diculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fulham FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Martin Isăceanu hit a great ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Gismund Jakob managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fulham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gismund Jakob was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Potoroacă kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Anton Nijhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Martin Isăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Torouţ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Fulham FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Racatau AC.
