Radu Roşculeţ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Henriques in the 13th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Cluj's Luís Henriques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Roşculeţ narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucian Oanță could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Eusebiu Zdrobiş made a huge save. FC Universitatea Cluj's Eusebiu Zdrobiş proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Universitatea Cluj from getting a goal against them. Eusebiu Zdrobiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Zglimbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31stth minute of the game Luís Henriques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Piticii Rai's Radu Roşculeţ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Radu Roşculeţ came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Universitatea Cluj's Luís Henriques. But to his dismay, Luís Henriques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Emanuel Curtean notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of F.C.Piticii Rai's Radu Roşculeţ. Radu Roşculeţ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusebiu Zdrobiş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Șofran, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Zglimbea made a kick off. Eusebiu Zdrobiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Zglimbea in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Emanuel Curtean recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Radu Roşculeţ. Emanuel Curtean showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Luís Henriques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Radu Roşculeţ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Curtean was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. FC Universitatea Cluj's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 64 minutes, Luís Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Universitatea Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Curtean succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 70th playminute. Emanuel Curtean in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Radu Roşculeţ, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When FC Universitatea Cluj's Emanuel Curtean in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C.Piticii Rai's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, F.C.Piticii Rai's goal looked a bit too open when Marcu Stolojan came free, but Radu Roşculeţ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes F.C.Piticii Rai's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leontin Roşoga who took care of the corner kick. Emanuel Curtean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, FC Universitatea Cluj's Emanuel Curtean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radu Roşculeţ narrowly saved just below the crossbar. F.C.Piticii Rai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Luís Henriques scored to the left of an out of position Radu Roşculeţ, making the score, 0-5. The FC Universitatea Cluj supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Universitatea Cluj would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
