Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Prejna FC's Iacob Ştefulescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Patrutestis's Ernest Nisporeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Patrutestis from getting a goal against them. In the 5th minute, Anton Gheondea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgil Găvan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Horia Lera kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ernest Nisporeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Ştefulescu in the 12th minute of play. In the 19th minute Iacob Ştefulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ionică Ştirbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernest Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iacob Ştefulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes Patrutestis's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ionuț Bobailă who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Iacob Ştefulescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ernest Nisporeanu. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. Ernest Nisporeanu made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ionică Ştirbu sent off a good shot on target. Ionică Ştirbu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Ernest Nisporeanu made a huge save. Ionică Ştirbu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Nisporeanu having to interfere. Iacob Ştefulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ernest Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Nisporeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Ştefulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the match, Prejna FC's Ionică Ştirbu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernest Nisporeanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ionică Ştirbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Patrutestis's Anton Lixandru got a free kick in the 45th minute. Iacob Ştefulescu struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Ernest Nisporeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prejna FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Gheondea to make the kick off. Iacob Ştefulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Ştirbu in the 58th minute of play forced Patrutestis's goalkeeper Ernest Nisporeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Prejna FC's Ionică Ştirbu in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ernest Nisporeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ionică Ştirbu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iacob Ştefulescu struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ernest Nisporeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prejna FC. Patrutestis's Ernest Nisporeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Ştirbu in the 78th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Iacob Ştefulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Patrutestis's Ernest Nisporeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ionică Ştirbu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Prejna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionică Ştirbu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Prejna FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
