The referee gave Ottlaka FC a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Horaţiu Nicoliță, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Atlantic's Marcel Dobrea. 1-0. FC Atlantic's Marcel Dobrea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Brașoveanu in the 22nd minute of play. Ionică Dică showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Purcărete in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tudor Brașoveanu's late challenge caught a FC Atlantic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tudor Brașoveanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Ottlaka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tudor Brașoveanu to maneuver through the defense.
