Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Fabian Eggenschwiler started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 minutes, Alessandro Masi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grivita FC 1992 - BTF and the Buruenis CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the game, Marian Albulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buruenis CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grivita FC 1992 - BTF the free kick. In the 8th minute, Marian Albulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's goalkeeper Iulian Manciulescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iulian Manciulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Albulescu in the 18th minute of play. Corneliu Boaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emilian Jurăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tiberiu Malcocea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Stelian Negulici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Manciulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Eggenschwiler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Tiberiu Malcocea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fabian Eggenschwiler did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Tiberiu Malcocea 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Eggenschwiler in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiberiu Malcocea saved Buruenis CSS from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Buruenis CSS's Marian Albulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marian Albulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's goal looked a bit too open when Stelian Negulici came free, but Iulian Manciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Buruenis CSS's Corneliu Boaru got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's Narcis Donose was substituted for Fabian Eggenschwiler. After 70th play minutes Narcis Donose shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Tiberiu Malcocea and just under the crossbar into goal. Ionică Lupoi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, one of Buruenis CSS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buruenis CSS. Ovidiu Iftodi walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some careless play in the Buruenis CSS defense, Narcis Donose kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiberiu Malcocea. The Buruenis CSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiberiu Malcocea should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Buruenis CSS's Eugen Dinu got a free kick in the 85th minute. The throw-in from Eugen Dinu in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Grivita FC 1992 - BTF's Iurie Borăscu.
