Spectators: 6828 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 28) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alexandru Zafiu kicked off to start the match. If Damian Constantinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Costică Vergulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bazgarei's supporters rose to their feet, but Costică Vergulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Cioacă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 17th play minutes Damian Constantinescu shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sebastian Cioacă and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Costică Vergulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bazgarei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costică Vergulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rucar CF booed when Bazgarei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Nacu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Rucar CF's Maxim Molodețiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionel Praporgescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damian Constantinescu took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Cioacă. Sebastian Cioacă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Damian Constantinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Costică Vergulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Cornel Encuțescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Rucar CF's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Vergulescu came free, but Sebastian Cioacă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Damian Constantinescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Sebastian Cioacă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Constantinescu was the one to do the kick off. When Damian Constantinescu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Bazgarei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Constantinescu couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Cioacă made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Costică Vergulescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute, Dorel Hagi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 68 played minutes Bazgarei got a freekick which was hit by Horaţiu Purcaru. In the 75th match minute, Bazgarei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Voineag to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Praporgescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Hagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ionel Praporgescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Hagi, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Dorel Hagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Praporgescu having to interfere. In the 85th minute Alexandru Zafiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Praporgescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dorel Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rucar CF's Dorel Hagi got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Bazgarei defense, Anton Brumaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ionel Praporgescu. The Bazgarei fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ionel Praporgescu should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Bazgarei could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rucar CF throughout the match.
