In the 39th minute, Pompiliu Minea made a precise shot to the right of Rareș Iosifian. FCU Stiinta Craiova's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Oreuou CS's Francisc Apopei got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Aurel Aluneanu made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Pompiliu Minea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rareș Iosifian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionuț Costescu's late challenge caught a Oreuou CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionuț Costescu helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Minea in the 66th minute of play forced FCU Stiinta Craiova's goalkeeper Rareș Iosifian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Traian Nicolaescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. FCU Stiinta Craiova's Nechifor Dabija quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Octavian Ailenei charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavian Ailenei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oreuou CS! The goalkeeper, Eric Udup, was totally fooled by FCU Stiinta Craiova's Dumitru Matei, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Prunaru in the 96th minute of play forced FCU Stiinta Craiova's goalkeeper Rareș Iosifian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Minea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rareș Iosifian. FCU Stiinta Craiova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pompiliu Minea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Oreuou CS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
