Doru Petruescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Corneliu Chiriacescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Squad™'s Niculae Ştefulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niculae Ştefulescu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Doru Petruescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Squad™. In the 22ndth minute of the game Nicolae Vulcănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viitorul Bucuresti's Doru Petruescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Viitorul Bucuresti's Doru Petruescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Ştefulescu in the 25th minute of play. Doru Petruescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Ştefulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The The Squad™ fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when The Squad™'s Niculae Ştefulescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The Squad™ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
