In the 10th minute Vasile Popescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Toma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Vâtcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Aurel Toma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erneiul CS's Horia Vâtcu got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasile Popescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horia Vâtcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurel Toma having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Trisoresti's goal looked a bit too open when Vasile Popescu came free, but Aurel Toma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Horia Vâtcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Toma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Trisoresti got a freekick which was hit by Luca Bălan. In the 34th minute, Vasile Popescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurel Toma was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Erneiul CS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horia Vâtcu to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Aanuţei notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Erneiul CS's Andrei Lupșoiu. Andrei Lupșoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Horia Vâtcu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Aurel Toma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Vâtcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Horia Vâtcu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Erneiul CS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horia Vâtcu couldn't finish the play. Aurel Toma didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Popescu got free with Aurel Toma in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Vasile Popescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurel Toma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Vâtcu in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Trisoresti's zone, Vasile Popescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurel Toma came out of the goal and Vasile Popescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Erneiul CS's Horia Vâtcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurel Toma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vasile Popescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Aurel Toma made a huge save. Aurel Toma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Vâtcu in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Trisoresti getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Codruț Prisecaru hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Paul Cinteză hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurel Toma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Vâtcu in the 94th minute of the match. Aurel Toma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Vâtcu in the 95th minute of play. Erneiul CS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
