In the 15th minute, Mosteni FC's Albert Tufescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Petrică Doman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrică Doman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Iordache Corbeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mosteni FC's zone, Ionel Mahonea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Blăjan came out of the goal and Ionel Mahonea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Ionel Mahonea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uibaresti AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cazimir Blăjan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Gordunescu in the 39th minute of play. With his leg Iordache Corbeanu managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Mosteni FC's Petrică Doman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Cazimir Blăjan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ionel Mahonea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 83 minute of play. If Denis Doloman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mosteni FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Uibaresti AS to win.
