Nechifor Mărăcuță's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Dulgherescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 minutes, Martin Boerescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BFT- FC STEAUA and the Buzau CSS players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the match, -BFT- FC STEAUA's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Răducu came free, but Damian Micu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Damian Micu. Iustin Ghiciușca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Damian Micu made a huge save. Damian Micu made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Costică Brezoi sent off a good shot on target. Damian Micu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Răducu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
