Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Horia Iorgovan sped through Lieste's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cornel Elian. Nechifor Apostol hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Lieste's Cornel Elian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horia Iorgovan in the 7th minute of play. Horia Iorgovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Elian having to interfere. When Sepsiszentgyörgy's Valentin Mateescu in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Horia Iorgovan got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horia Iorgovan in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornel Elian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horia Iorgovan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Cornel Elian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lieste's zone, Jean-Paul Tulner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Elian came out of the goal and Jean-Paul Tulner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Horia Iorgovan came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Sepsiszentgyörgy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horia Iorgovan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sepsiszentgyörgy booed when Lieste was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornel Elian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Tiberiu Hăvârneanu made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Horia Iorgovan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cornel Elian. Horia Iorgovan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Mugurel Costea charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Horia Iorgovan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Iorgovan in the 81st minute of play forced Lieste's goalkeeper Cornel Elian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes, Horia Iorgovan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sepsiszentgyörgy and the Lieste players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Lieste booed when Sepsiszentgyörgy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Iorgovan didn't get a good kick on the ball.
