After a rather tough play, Marapici CSM's Emilian Videanu got a free kick in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iulian Panaitoiu during the 18th minute. After the first half Fulga CSM were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Filip Sticlaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Panaitoiu in the 62nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Fulga CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Iulian Panaitoiu came free, but Filip Sticlaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iulian Panaitoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filip Sticlaru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Robert Şandru put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fulga CSM fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Filip Sticlaru came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Marapici CSM's Mircea Brânzeu. But to his dismay, Mircea Brânzeu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Cristinel Teleagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Goiciu during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Marapici CSM getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Edgar Goiciu hit a great ball. Iulian Panaitoiu got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 96th match minute, Marapici CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Panaitoiu to maneuver through the defense.
