An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Cucerdean in the 9th minute of play forced Marapici CSM's goalkeeper Grigore Păvăloae to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iulian Panaitoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Felix Vanghelie made a huge save. Marapici CSM's Filip Paulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grigore Păvăloae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Tomoioagă, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Selarul AS's Codrin Şneapotă got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Vintilă Cucerdean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Grigore Păvăloae was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Pavel Tomoioagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Iulian Panaitoiu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Filip Paulescu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Marapici CSM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Paulescu couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Filip Paulescu made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Marapici CSM got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Pătrășcanu. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Pavel Tomoioagă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Selarul AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Tomoioagă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grigore Păvăloae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Marapici CSM's Gabriel Ţintea got a free kick in the 58th minute. Pavel Tomoioagă scored 1-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grigore Păvăloae, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Selarul AS's Pavel Tomoioagă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grigore Păvăloae narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Marapici CSM's goalkeeper Grigore Păvăloae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Tomoioagă. With a little luck, Marapici CSM's Grigore Păvăloae got control of the ball when Pavel Tomoioagă tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Nicolae Pătrășcanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 74 played minutes Vintilă Cucerdean rounded Marapici CSM's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Vintilă Cucerdean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Grigore Păvăloae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th match minute, Marapici CSM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Leluțiu to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Marapici CSM's goalkeeper Grigore Păvăloae had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pavel Tomoioagă. After 92 minutes of play Selarul AS's Codrin Şneapotă was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Codrin Şneapotă kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Selarul AS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
