In the 36th minute Răzvan Romulus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Jumancă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, one of Goala AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Goala AFC. After the first half Goala AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee showed Dan Hâncu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Goala AFC booed when Dropia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Hâncu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
