In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. BvB 90's goalkeeper Anton Manciulescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anton Manciulescu came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FC REAL UNIREA's Salvidor Guarnizo. But to his dismay, Salvidor Guarnizo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Henrique Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Vasilescu in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC REAL UNIREA defense, Dacian Bojin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Ferro. The FC REAL UNIREA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Ferro should have stopped the shot. After 34 minutes, Sebastian Lelescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC REAL UNIREA and the F.C. BvB 90 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC REAL UNIREA getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sebastian Lelescu hit a great ball. When Dacian Bojin came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the F.C. BvB 90 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dacian Bojin couldn't finish the play. When Mugur Mereuță fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC REAL UNIREA's protests and gave Mugur Mereuță a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of F.C. BvB 90 booed when FC REAL UNIREA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Mereuță didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Dorel Şandru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, F.C. BvB 90's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Klewinski came free, but Anton Manciulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelian Vasilescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Salvidor Guarnizo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Anton Manciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, FC REAL UNIREA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Mereuță to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, FC REAL UNIREA's goalkeeper Henrique Ferro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dacian Bojin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dacian Bojin got free with Henrique Ferro in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. F.C. BvB 90's Valentin Vlaicu pulled a muscle in his leg after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 60th minute of the match Mugur Mereuță completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mugur Mereuță a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aurelian Vasilescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC REAL UNIREA's goalkeeper Henrique Ferro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dacian Bojin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dacian Bojin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilie Bălășoiu scored 2-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Ferro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dacian Bojin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Henrique Ferro made a huge save. Dacian Bojin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Henrique Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Arosculesei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Ferro having to interfere.
