Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Gelmar's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Durbac came free, but Mihnea Tincu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6thth minute of the game Virgil Durbac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gelmar's Mihnea Tincu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Emanuel Jecu fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gelmar's protests and gave Emanuel Jecu a yellow card for diving instead. Mihnea Tincu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Durbac's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Gelmar's Iustinian Hidiș got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristide Bungeanu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Mihnea Tincu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Farul Constanta. Gică Dorlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Hidiș in the 30th minute of play. Aristide Bungeanu's late challenge caught a Gelmar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Bungeanu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gelmar getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Nechifor Ungur hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgil Durbac in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihnea Tincu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Gelmar booed when Farul Constanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Iurașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Iustinian Hidiș got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marius Dobre might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gică Dorlea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Dobre ran back to his position shaking his head. Marius Dobre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gică Dorlea made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iustinian Hidiș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marius Dobre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Iustinian Hidiș managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gelmar's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustinian Hidiș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Dorlea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihnea Tincu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Durbac's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Emanuel Jecu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Iurașcu during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Virgil Durbac received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mihnea Tincu came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgil Durbac slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 78th minute. Cătălin Cara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mihnea Tincu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Alin Fetanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gelmar's Mihnea Tincu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nechifor Ungur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Dobre in the 94th minute of play forced Farul Constanta's goalkeeper Gică Dorlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Borogeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Gelmar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Farul Constanta's performance. The match ended with a win for Farul Constanta.
