Maxut FC's Panait Gherase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Chițu in the 9th minute of play. Teodor Stoicea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Panait Gherase skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iosif Hurezan struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Panait Gherase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macelarul. Lucrețiu Aluchei's late challenge caught a Macelarul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Panait Gherase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iosif Hurezan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute Teodor Stoicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Gherase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Teodor Stoicea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Panait Gherase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Stoicea in the 66th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Macelarul had played much better football throughout.
