The tension between the Taga and the Gramesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Taga getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Mugur Grecea hit a great ball. Radu Oardă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nistor Cazan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Costin's late challenge caught a Taga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dinu Costin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Gramesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Costin to maneuver through the defense. Irinel Ghiorman scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valer Văcărescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nistor Cazan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damian Stroici showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Oardă in the 24th minute of play forced Taga's goalkeeper Nistor Cazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Taga's goalkeeper Nistor Cazan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Stroici. Constantin Coșeriu hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radu Oardă made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Gramesti got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Apostol. Leonard Magheran might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valer Văcărescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leonard Magheran ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Taga's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Stroici came free, but Nistor Cazan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Constantin Coșeriu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Valer Văcărescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st minute Damian Stroici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Cazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Cazan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Stroici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Taga's zone, Fabian Nițisor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nistor Cazan came out of the goal and Fabian Nițisor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nistor Cazan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Stroici in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Stroici in the 79th minute of play forced Taga's goalkeeper Nistor Cazan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Damian Stroici had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nistor Cazan. Taga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Stroici was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Valer Văcărescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Doru Elenescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 95 minute of play.
