Spectators: 6650 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doru Opriș started the match with the kick off. Nicolae Bogdănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Daniel Drăgoi lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 7 played minutes FCP Ploiesti got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Drăgoi. 10 minutes into the game, Doru Opriș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Paul Herescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FCP Ploiesti getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Teddy Wejlebjerg hit a great ball. FCP Ploiesti's Ciprian Pitiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Mischie in the 15th minute of play. Ciprian Pitiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Bogdănescu in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of FCP Ploiesti booed when FC Utvin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Greculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FCP Ploiesti's Doru Opriș got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolae Bogdănescu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the game, FC Utvin's Nicolae Bogdănescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ciprian Pitiș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 34thth minute of the game Doru Opriș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Utvin's Paul Herescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horaţiu Greculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Doru Opriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gavril Eniceicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Utvin's Claudiu Glodeanu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a rather tough play, FCP Ploiesti's Octav Frățilă got a free kick in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The FC Utvin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Herescu should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Nicolae Bogdănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ciprian Pitiș was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FCP Ploiesti getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lucian Mardarie hit a great ball. Paul Herescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Opriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ciprian Pitiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Greculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Gavril Eniceicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Herescu having to interfere. Ciprian Pitiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Bogdănescu in the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Horaţiu Greculescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciprian Pitiș. That made the score 3-3 in the 78 minute of play. Nicolae Bogdănescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ciprian Pitiș came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicolae Bogdănescu slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 81st minute. FCP Ploiesti's Ciprian Pitiș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FCP Ploiesti from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, FCP Ploiesti's goalkeeper Ciprian Pitiș had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horaţiu Greculescu. In the 89th match minute, FC Utvin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Bogdănescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Doru Opriș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Herescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolae Bogdănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FCP Ploiesti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Utvin's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Utvin.
