In the 29th minute Valeriu Nicodim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Burdujan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Predescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florin Burdujan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. If Manole Lamru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florin Burdujan made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Manole Lamru sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paul Dobrotă to strike the kick off in the second half. Valeriu Nicodim's late challenge caught a catalin35's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valeriu Nicodim helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Balateni AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of catalin35:s goal. The score was 1-1 after a penalty in the 55th minute, where catalin35:s Moise Ştefoi tricked Balateni AFC:s Valentin Nicodim with a difficult ball by the left post. If Paul Dobrotă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Balateni AFC's Valentin Nicodim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Balateni AFC from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
