Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ciclovina's Liviu Dedu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mugurel Bivolaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Slavici having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Heleresti AS's zone, Dan Surugiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Slavici came out of the goal and Dan Surugiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Mugurel Bivolaru notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Heleresti AS's Petrică Slavici. Petrică Slavici was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aron Grigore hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Mugurel Bivolaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28th match minute, Heleresti AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Murgescu to maneuver through the defense. Petrică Slavici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Dedu in the 31st minute of play. Mugurel Bivolaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Petrică Slavici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Heleresti AS's zone, Liviu Dedu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Slavici came out of the goal and Liviu Dedu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Marius Diaconu made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Mugurel Bivolaru almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Heleresti AS's Petrică Slavici did a great save. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Liviu Dedu took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Petrică Slavici to make any attempt to save it. Mugurel Bivolaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petrică Slavici having to interfere. Liviu Dedu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marius Diaconu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Mugurel Bivolaru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petrică Slavici. Heleresti AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mugurel Bivolaru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When Ciclovina's Liviu Dedu in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heleresti AS's goalie prevented a goal. Ciclovina's Mugurel Bivolaru managed to work through Heleresti AS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mugurel Bivolaru dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Heleresti AS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Liviu Dedu scored to the left of an out of position Petrică Slavici, making the score, 0-5. In the 78th minute, Iacob Buteanu had to leave the field with a concussion. After 79 played minutes Heleresti AS got a freekick which was hit by Sever Răchiteanu. 81 minutes into the match, Heleresti AS's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Dedu came free, but Petrică Slavici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petrică Slavici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugurel Bivolaru in the 82nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ciclovina's Mugurel Bivolaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petrică Slavici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Liviu Dedu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciclovina's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
